Well...Michael is off of vacation. Sad face.
We so loved having him with us 24/7, even if it was just for you few days. I kept trying to convince him that he should to stay home with us all the time, but he thoughtfully reminded me how we like to do things like eat and have a home to live in. I guess those sort of things are important, so we decided to let him go back to work.
Michael, his dad, and his brothers all had tickets to game 4 (plus he had an interview at the territory office...more on that later) so instead of sending him down I20 all by his lonesome, we made a family trip out of it.
First stop: FEED MOB OF HUNGRY CHILDREN TO PREVENT MAJOR MELTDOWN
We chose Rainforest Cafe, which may not have been the smartest choice since it was out-of-control-crowded, and it took us 30 minutes to get food in the grumpy starving little tummies. At least there was plenty of entertainment while we waited.
Next stop: LEGO LAND
Again, it was super crowded. They were actually at capacity because a class of 200 (oh my geeeze!) kids were there in addition to the regular crowd. But again, the kids had fun while waiting.
Once we got in, they took us on a tour to show how lego's were made
The crazy little scientist guy chose Jaxon out of the group to help press the button. He was so in awe of everything he just stood and stared in amazement, sweet boy.
Love.
For sure, the two most handsome men in the entire world. Hands down.
We got to see Bob the Builder in 3-D
The Dallas skyline made entirely out of lego's!
The kids were so excited to see the model of the American Airlines center, since that is where Daddy was going that night to cheer on the Mavs! He must have been cheering pretty loudly, because they won!
Little Rockstar. We had to play "Home on the Range" on the karaoke machine, since that is the only song she knew. She doesn't know what a "Rhianna" or "Beyonce" is, and I am more than OK with that.
We had a ton of fun, and the kids were worn out by the time we were all done.
Exhibit A.
Exhibit B.
( Maybe this should have been Exhibit A..."A" for attitude. Ugh.)
We finally got to our hotel and got it broken in all settled in
We were pretty lonely without Daddy while he was at the game, but we made the best and piled up in the bed and watched movies on the Mac. Thankfully we thought to bring that because Jaxon touched some wrong buttons on the TV and I couldn't figure out how to fix it back.
Last stop: SPLASH!
Is there really anything else to do outside during Texas summers?
And once again, all that fun wore us plum out.
Obviously.
It was a nice little trip. We also got to visit sweet baby Cousins (no picture's to prove it, sorry.)
As I mentioned earlier, Michael had an interview while we were up there and we also spent some time looking at houses. Turns out, he had a great interview and got the job! He will now be the General Manager of this:
So exciting, right?!
I couldn't be more proud of him, and more thankful for how hard he works to provide for our family:)
So yeah. We're still in the process of getting offers accepted on a house there, but we are moving to Dallas! We're so excited to embark on this new adventure together, and we can't wait to see the amazing things God has in store for us. It was His will that lead us to this, and we know that it will be his hand that guides us along the way. He has been doing a major work in our lives lately, in so many areas, and we can't wait to see what he has been preparing us for!
Oh...and before I forget.
Happy father's day to all the dad's out there!
Especially to my amazing husband who is more than I could ever ask for, and a fantastic father to our two Little's. I love you so much, and am so thankful our children get have you as there awesome Daddy:)
