Only three days left...
Until a marvelous miracle happens in our family,
That's right...Daddy is taking a vacation!! Hooray!
He will be off nine entire days of blissful stay-cationism. I cannot wait!
Although we will be staying here (for the most part) we have some pretty awesome things on the agenda
1. Teach Abbie to ride her bike w/out training wheels
As much as I would have loved to teach her this summer, it's not so easy to devote my attention to such a daunting task while little brother tries to ride his power wheels into the street. This is definitely a two-person job.
2. Sleep in every day
Well obviously I won't get to join in on this one, but Michael (I'm sure) will be sleeping in every single day of his vacation. I will try my best not to be bitter when I rise up at 7am to get Abbie ready for school.
3. (Maybe) Attend a Mav's game
We are hoping to be able to make an evening trip to DFW to catch a Mav's game! I am so, so, so excited, because I've never been to one, even when we lived there. And believe me, this will be an adults only trip, which will be lovely.
4. Birthday festivities
We just celebrated my brothers birthday on Tuesday, which is something that we haven't been able to since I don't know when. It was a great party with family here at our house
And during Michael's vacation, we will be celebrating his Dad's birthday on Wednesday and my Mom's birthday on Thursday. So glad that he gets to be off for both of these! One of Abbie's school friends is having a party on Saturday, so it will be nice to let Michael take Jax so Abbie and I can enjoy the party without chasing baby brother around everywhere.
5. Hang out and have fun!
While we are very thankful for Michael to be fortunate enough to have such a wonderful job that provides for our family, his schedule isn't always conducive to lot's of hang out time. That is the main reason we chose to have a stay-cation, is because he doesn't get to have near as much hang-out time as we would like. And when you throw him being in school full-time on top of that, it makes it difficult. We are SO looking forward to having him here, and just spending time together as a family.
I can't wait!
