Day 1, and maybe some tears.

I seriously cannot believe that school starts in 12 days...

12 days!

And what's more than that, is that I will be the mom of a first grader. Rediculous.

Last year, before I got this little blog up and going, we did the 12 days before Kindergarten, where we did a different special activity every day, for 12 days before school started.

{Goodness, I can't believe how much she has grown in just one short year! Yikes!}

So this year, we will obviously be doing The 12 days before 1st grade!

I didn't even realize that the day had already arrived, until we got back from swim lessons this morning, so I wasn't super prepared. Fortunately, we are walking distance from our neighborhood water park/pool, so it wasn't too hard to figure out what our first day's activity would be.

So there is our Day #1. It is honestly making me a little emotional just typing this because (like I keep saying) I simply cannot believe she is going into the 1st grade! It makes me so proud and breaks my heart all at the same time. 

Big hallway lockers, no more in classroom ones.

Big kid desks, no more little kid tables.

No more naps.

Where is my rewind button, can we go back to this please?

Ok, enough of my emotional breakdown.
