why, hello november! so nice to see you!
november always seems to sneak up on me. maybe because it makes me a little bit nervous. november marks the beginning of two straight months of wonderful craziness around here. not just because of turkey day and christmas, but also because it means that b i r t h d a y time is here! sweet abigail is a november baby, and my big boy jaxon is a december baby. as much as i love christmas shopping…and everything that comes along with it…i've taken a momentary break from it to go into full-blown party mode for the kids joint birthday party. i am determined to enjoy this party, and to put all of my perfectionism aside. i am determined to jump on trampolines with my babies, to watch them play and enjoy being little. to be more concerned with the things that will make them happy, than the decorations that make mommy happy. this will be no easy feat for me and my o.c.d. self...so we will see how this goes.
Speaking of important birthdays…we had the pleasure of attending this little ladies ‘tiny two’s" party last night
(which was pretty fabulous, might i add)
all of the kids had so much fun, and i especially enjoyed the tiny m&m's. her mommy is so creative. i love them both!
last weekend our sweet niece kacie marie turned 16! her mom threw her a fun costume party, and it is beyond me how i managed to make it out of there with absolutely no pictures of it. such a shame.
she is such a wonderful girl, and i will be one blessed mommy if abigail has her head on half as straight as kacie does at this age.
yet another big day in our little family, was this guy’s first haircut!
*side note* i wish i would have windexed the mirror so the picture could have come out better. is that so wrong?
he was so wonderfully calm and still. i wondered at times if i was taking pictures of the right kid because this is certainly not his normal demeanor. he was a little on the shy side, but he took it like a champ and we didn’t have any problems other than getting him to smile for the camera.
he is such a little man now. and when his hair is not fixed, he now enjoys wearing his baseball hat backwards just like daddy. i love those boys.
ridiculously handsome :)
Also, my father in law ran the marathon for miracles this past weekend, and came in first place in his age division! way to go daddy joe!
and last but not least was the fall festival. super girl and spider baby were so excited to go!
lots and lots of fun. and even more candy! poor jackaboo was so strung out on tootsie pops. they both were. bless their hearts, mommy is pretty mean and doesn’t give them much candy. when i do it’s either organic or free of red/blue dye. so they just scarffed as much of that junk as they could in their little mouths. tummy aches followed, but luckily that was after the awesome train ride with their good friends lizette and karmen!
by the way…we sure do miss you guys!
abigail's ears must be burning because she keeps coming in here insisting that her shoes hurt her feet today so she can't fall asleep. this is about ten minutes after she came out with an alleged ‘tummy ache.” i think she spends at least the first twenty minutes of bedtime thinking of clever tactics to get out of bed. ok, off to tend to my ailing child.
