Best girl in the West

Last week we had the pleasure of attending my big girl's first school play!

The theme was western, which was right up her alley. She has a deep love for all things cowgirl/western ever since she went to "saddle ridge ranch" VBS last summer.

My little cowgirl :)

There was singing, instrument playing (ahem...sticks and wooden blocks) square dancing, and she even got up and said a line on the microphone. However, the very best part of it all was seeing how totally excited she was about it! She wore her hat, bandana, and boots around the house all week long, while she rode on her brothers rocking horse, singing "Home on the Range" at the top of her lungs. She's pretty awesome.

{ you can barely see her little face under that giant hat! I wanted to go up on stage the entire time and fix it for her! }

Later that night, she decided we needed to video-tape her pretending to be "Abbie-Wild West-Cherry Pie" and me being "Princess-Star Glow" as chased down dragons with her light up drum stick  gun and horse. The video tape is beyond historical, and is complete with her excessive cowgirl southern drawl. I would love to share it with you, but she might never play "Cowgirl & Princess" with me again, and that's just not a risk I'm willing to take!
