Dust in the wind

Yesterday we said our final good-bye to Kindergarten

And what better way to do that than with a special good-bye breakfast?

She was pretty excited

I cannot believe how much my sweet  girl has grown in the past year.
This is her on her first day of school, and her with her little carpool buddy on the last day of school

Is it just me, or does she look a LOT older? She is basically an adult now. Ok, maybe not, but it feels like it.

They were both so excited to get on with their very last day of school, complete with games, movies, and popsicle parties.

On the way to school Abbie said "Kindergarten is just behind me now Mom...like dust in the wind"
Well ok then. If you've been around here long and know of her major western obsession, this should not surprise you.

Here she is with her sweet teacher, Mrs. Martin. I remember praying and praying last summer that God would give her to a teacher who would love her and treat her with kindness, and he did just that! Abigail loves her dearly, and will miss her 1st teacher!

After school, we headed over to Nikki's for a much needed cold treat, to combat the record breaking 106 temps...ick.

I found these cute print outs here

So yum.

When we got home, I had a little project that I found here, for her to complete, to add to her K scrapbook

Turned out pretty cute!

We finished off the day with BBQ, sprinklers, and Gnomeo and Juliet. I have no pictures to prove it, seeing as how Jax refuses to wear a bathing suit (or a swimmer for that matter) when we play outside in the water, but it was the perfect finish to a great last day of school.
