This last Friday was Abigail's last field trip of the school year, and her last field trip as a Kindergartner! It makes me want to cry just typing those words, but don't worry, I held it together the entire trip.
Anyhow...it was tons of fun!
It was pretty chaotic, seeing as how every school within a 100 mile radius decided to take their field trip the same day. We all helped her teacher perform routine head counts every 5 minutes to make sure we hadn't lost one, and thankfully made it out of there with the same number that we started with! There wasn't much time to get pictures of the kids in action, or space for that matter. Our school alone had over 200 students there, not to mention the other schools!
When we weren't busy taking group shots...I was tending to this guy, who was not happy that I wouldn't let him run ramped through the sidewalks.
Luckily, a new exhibit would come up, and things started to look up for this little guy.
Little stinker.
I didn't really spend any one on one time with my girl, but it was nice to be able to watch her interact with her friends, and get a peek into her little world
Sweet little friends.
We all had lots of fun, and I let Abbie ride the bus back to school, which apparently is a really big deal for kids that don't ride it home. A crowded, uncomfortable, but with no AC does NOT sound like my idea of a good time, but I suppose it's adventurous in kiddie land.
xoxoxo
